Extensions->Module Manager

Modules allow you to perform tasks in designated areas of your site. Modules can be displayed in various positions in your website and can be swithced on/off depending on which menu option has been selected (left, right, banner etc). Different templates have different available module positions. To see the positions for your temple select Extensions->template manager, click on the template name then click then click the preview button. The module position will be shown in small boxes in red text. You can also switch the module on/off depending if the user is public, registered or special user.

You may have different modules in the same position. Each module is placed horizontally beneath the previous module and you can control the order in which these modules appear.

Modules are assigned types which control how the module behaves. The type mod_banner, for example, allows you to display an advertising task.
